The Three Faces of Askew
Sometimes this small business feels really big. Unwieldy even. Of course, trying to squeeze a creative business into an already full life is no easy feat. But even just within the confines of Askew, sometimes it is hard to focus. To help us overcome this, we have decided to divide Askew into three distinct parts: Askew Limited, Askew Custom, and Askew Market.
Askew Limited is our special edition division. The Rust Collection, the hand-printed/dyed/illustrated bags, products that are very much one-offs, these will fall under the Limited category.

For Askew Limited, we have decided to do drops, maybe once a month or so. Subscribers to our newsletter will be the first to know when the drops will be and then we will have a general announcement on our Instagram page when the products are in the shop. Therefore, my friends, I suggest you sign up for our newsletter ASAP. You can do so here or at the bottom of the page.
The Standard Tote, available for customization via our online shop.
Askew Custom is where you can visit our online shop and customize either a Standard Tote (now available) or a Garden Tote (available soon). You choose your size and colorways plus you can soon get initials chainstitch-embroidered on the bag for a nominal additional charge by the talented Moxy of Second Rodeo Stitching.
Special custom orders will be determined on a case-by-case basis. And all custom orders will involve patience but we believe that getting a bag that is made especially for you is well worth the wait.

And with Askew Market, you get something else all together. Our pop-up booth is where we will have runs of special goods as well as a rotation of our classic designs. It is where you can get a market tote or an upcycled clutch pouch. It is where you can find a Burnett or Francine as well as a small tool tote or maybe a mini duff (rumor has it that there will be fanny packs at the next market…). At the end of every month, I will do an online pop-up so those of you not nearby can get your hands on some select Askew bags.

I know this division might not really matter for most of you but for us, it really helps our scattered brains. We are both still working full-time jobs so clear organization matters. A lot. Toss in kiddos and chickens and gardening and two cats and a gremlin, well, this compartmentalization is the only way I can conceive of Askew being able to grow as we wish it to. And we really want our wish to come true.
