Askew but Good

So, I am just going to admit it, we have not been in the studio as much as we were.

2025 was a big year for us as a business and family. So when 2026 dawned, we decide to take some time to recalibrate and figure out how to balance Askew with our blended family, day jobs, and this mad, mad world. And yes, that actually took more time than we anticipated. But now we are back in the studio and back at the markets. We will be at GrowHUB this Saturday and at Glam in mid-April. We also have some other exciting collaborations and retail spaces to share soon but not right now.

Right now what I want to share is a new side project called Askew but Good. It is a community-generated zine, meaning that its content comes from the community. It is a project meant to both encourage and showcase creativity. We first thought of the zine a while back as a family project. For those of you who do not know, Caine and I are parents of six kiddos (well, all in their double digits) plus one daughter-in-law and one grandkiddo. We thought a zine would be a way of kind of capturing everyone’s distinct voice/perspective. But as we talked to friends about this prospective project, they had ideas that they wanted to contribute. So we thought, why not just open it up to everyone? And that is what we have done.

We will be kicking off Askew but Good tomorrow at GrowHUB. There will be a table with some art supplies, old magazines, glue, scissors and pens. Everyone is welcome to stop by and make a page. It is supposed to be a beautiful Spring day and GrowHUB is a wonderful organization and place to visit. (We have also set up a submissions page here where you can submit your work at any time.)

At this point, we are thinking this will be a quarterly publication, with the first issue being released in May. More to come later but yeah, we are pretty stoked about this. If you have any questions, you can contact us via tiffany@askewgoods.com.
